SAD TO SAY
Hi Everyone,
As you've probably noticed my posting has gotten rather sparse/non existent and I'm sad to have to say this, but I'm going to have to take a break from the blog for a while.
After an unexpected chain of events, I have to find a new place to live. I look forward to getting settled in a new home and I hope to be back in action soon!

I heart Liberty
I always have and always will love Liberty prints. No matter how often the trend comes and goes, these gorgeous little florals remain totally classic. Cacharel did a lovely spring collection using Liberty prints and I especially love these little baby shoes - so cute!

Melamine Plates
I've been a long time fan of designer Thomas Paul. His vast melamine plate and tray collections are great for you and the kids. I've had a few sets of the plates for several years now and they are virtually indestructible and perfect for outdoor summer BBQs. The designs are fun and whimsical enough for kids but sophisticated enough for your hip decor.
Fun in the Wee Garden
I found this site the other day and thought it would be the perfect gardening project for your imaginative little ones. I especially love the addition of miniature dollhouse furniture turning these little landscapes into tiny make believe worlds. If you don't have an outdoor space you can make indoor versions using unused vessels like old teacups. All you need to get started is pebbles, sand, moss, a few baby succulents, and some tiny furniture. Check out the Wee Garden website for more inspirations (you can also buy the miniature furniture from them). If you can't find moss at your local nursery, you can order a moss starter kit here. Happy Gardening!

Serendipity Organics
Well, if you can't already tell, I love Scandinavian design. Here is another label from Denmark call Serendipity. They do all organic baby clothes (another reason to love them!). I love the clean lines and the simple graphics. They look book is gorgeous too, full of kids playing at the beach in the bright sun. They're collection is sold at several places in the US and you can find a retailer by visiting their website.

SO SO SO CUTE
The little New York Boutique Oeuf has a section on their website for outfit ideas. These are some of them. They are so so so cute. I LOVE the animal masks! I wish I had come up with that idea....!
Bedroom Furniture We Love
Here are a few of great modern pieces for a child's bedroom. I love the Oeuf Crib series because you can get crib conversion kits to keep the crib(turned toddler bed) functional for up to 3 years or until you need the crib again for your next kiddo. I also adore the notNeutral Tetra series of cabinets and chests inspired by Tetris that play with drawer size proportions and pop colors. The Fatboy Avenue cushion blocks are great because they can be put together to make fun shapes for seating. They also remind me of the children's section of the public library I went to growing up that had fun colored blocks to sit and play on. Rocking horses are totally classic and I especially love this one by Offi Baltic with the hand painted face. We also love the Modern Mom toy box. The lid is actually the shape of the orange bird - so cute! And of course the little orange rocker - who doesn't want one?

Little Rockers
This is where Hip meets Hipster....little rocker clothes for our little rockers. And who said kids can't wear black?
{skinny jeans from Moonkids, Woodstock and Whitesnake tee/onesie from Rock.com, checked shirt from A Mini Ture, and bandana bib from Rockabilly}
Denim Dungaree + I heart Japan
I love vintage tee shirts and when it comes to kids clothes - Denim Dungaree does the most amazing vintage looking tees. I swoon every time I see them, they look so authentic and worn-in. The company is Japanese so the slogans and graphics are always that much cuter. If there was ever a brand for cool kids, this is it. To make it even more exclusive and cool, you can only buy them at one place (that I know of) this the US. Trico Field - it's worth a trip to LA or Soho in Manhattan. You won't be disappointed. I promise.

pretty pretty patchwork
I think these are some of the cutest patchwork ideas. Of course it's from Japan, so actually getting our babies into them might require a very long flight. The upside is that the concept is simple and we can easily make these little dresses and applique tees ourselves. I love the mix of juicy summer colors and fun prints. And p.s. I want that "Waffle" tee for myself.
Singin' The Blues
Clockwise from top left: Blue Filur Skummis Toy, Blue Striped Knee Socks, Apple print onesie available here, Blue Cloud Bib available here, , and Striped Viking Onesie available here.
BioME 5
BioME 5 has found a unique and imaginative way to update the ever constant theme in children's wear: animals and alphabets. The bioME 5 Animal Alphabet Project was created by two architectural designers who were inspired by the visual learning processes inherent in all children. I love that every style can work for boys or girls and they are organic too!

Pops of Yellow & Brown
Finding baby apparel and accessories that are gender neutral can be challenging as it seems like every time I walk into a baby store I'm bombarded with pastel pinks and blues. I tend to gravitate towards a more modern aesthetic with colors that reflect the current trends like citrus yellows and warm neutrals. Here are a few products that fit my mood today.
{geometric print onsies from (they come in a 3 pack and they're organic!), handmade wooden gorilla toy by Areaware, modern brown and yellow tote by Plank, Love & Folly booties, cute owl print tee from Fauna}

Under The Sea
When we were kids wallpaper was so passe, but there is a new renaissance in the wall paper world and I have to say, I'm loving it. Check out these great sea life inspired papers (so perfect for a kids room) from Walnut Wallpaper. So They have a great little shop in LA and you can also order samples before you commit to a pattern. If you're not ready to take the plunge and paper a wall, there are also some great wall decals out there like the ones above, available here.
Handmade With Love
These lovely little booties are handmade out of vintage quilts. Every pair is unique and one of a kind. The sizing is appropriate for 6-9 months but I love to just look at them sitting on the shelf. They make uniquely special baby gifts. Check them out here.
